RAWALPINDI -  Regional Police Officer (RPO) Ashfaq Ahmed Khan on Wednesday promoted 53 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) and 11 Head Constables of the Rawalpindi district to next ranks. The RPO had chaired the meeting of the promotion board held here with senior police officials in attendance. A police spokesman said that the notification of appointment of newly promoted police officials would be issued soon. The RPO   congratulated the newly promoted police officers. He said the responsibilities of the newly promoted police officers are doubled as they will have to serve the masses with a new passion and commitment. “Bad work of one cop dents the reputation of the whole police department,” he said, adding that all the police officers should work hard to curb crime from society.
