LHC reprimands Rawalpindi police over non-recovery of abducted US citizen

Rawalpindi - Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi Bench on Wednesday expressed dismay over Rawalpindi police for non recovery of abducted US national woman Wajeeha Farooq and directed City Police Officer (CPO) to appear in person to update court about progress in this high profile case.
A division bench comprising Justice Raja Shahid Mehmood Abbasi heard habeas  corpus petition filed by abductee’s son and passed strict directions to Rawalpindi police to produce/recover the abductee using all force needed to get the abducted American national woman recovered.
During the course of proceedings, the court expressed deep annoyance over the Morgah police and stated that police had not taken any concrete step to recover the abducted woman.
Justice Raja Shahid Mehmood Abbasi said police failed to trace a woman.
Additional prosecutor said that the woman could not be recovered despite best efforts of police.   
The court was extremely dissatisfied with the efforts made by police for the recovery of missing lady and strict directions were passed for the production of woman till next date.
