Anti-dengue campaign kicks off



WARBURTON - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed the nutritionists of the Rural Health Centres (RHCs) to initiate a campaign against dengue fever in the district here on Wednesday.
Talking to The Nation, Rural Health Centre Nutritionist Imran Ahmad said that a survey to identify areas of dengue fever incidence was underway and remedial actions would be adopted in the light of the its report. He said that doctors, technical staff and nutritionists were inspecting streets, ponds and sewerages to check the spread of dengue larva. He also claimed that no case of the disease had been reported in the district so far.
