Allies have consensus on pro-democracy resolution: Rehman Malik

Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Monday said that the pro-democracy resolution in National Assembly would be passed with majority. The resolution, tabled in lower house of the parliament, is just to support the democratic process and for continuity of parliamentary system in the country, he told media after chairing a meeting of National Police Academy’s Board. Malik said Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) would also support the resolution. He expressed gratitude to MQM for its support and said the coalition between PPP and the MQM would continue in future and both would jointly cope with all challenges.
“Allies of government have consensus on the resolution and they would definitely support to strengthen the parliament and democracy,” he responded a question.
