ISLAMABAD - PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Sunday. Senior Minister Ch Pervaiz Elahi was also present during the meeting.
According to President’s spokesperson Farhatullah Babar, current political situation and coalition matters were discussed during the meeting. The President also hosted dinner for them. However, sources in the PML-Q said that issues relating to NRO and memogate cases and resolution tabled in the National Assembly by the ANP were discussed in the meeting.
Sources said that the meeting also discussed strategy of the PPP-led ruling alliance.
Some sources were of the view that PML-Q leaders have also proposed steps to avert any confrontation between the major state institutions.
