MQM will free poor from brutalities of feudals: Altaf

KARACHI - Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has said that the MQM would deliver the oppressed and downtrodden people from brutalities of feudal lords.
He said his party’s public convention in Sukkur on January 20 will be announcement of the victory of the MQM’s truthful philosophy.
He was talking to office-bearers of different wings of the MQM in Sukkur by telephone.
Hussain said that poor peasants and farmers were deprived of their basic rights. “Feudal lords had reduced them to a state of slavery. They are subjected to inhuman torture in private jails. Schools are converted into personal courtyards taking away the right of education from children.”
The MQM recognised the religious minorities as equal citizens according to the teachings of Quaid-e-Azam, he said, adding that it was striving for their legitimate rights.
He thanked Allah that the message of the MQM was gaining wide acceptance in the public. Selfless workers of other political parties, besides poor and exploited people, were beginning to realise that the MQM was the real representative political party of the poor. “They have felt that workers who gave sacrifices and work hard are honoured by the MQM. It is because of this belief that they are also coming to the folds of the MQM.”
He impressed upon students to devote their time to studies and work with honesty. He asked them to respect their parents and teachers and follow discipline.
The MQM chief also appealed to the people of Sukkur and adjoining areas, particularly students, youth, women and elders, to come to attend his party’s convention in Sukkur.
