LAHORE – A two-day Punjab Agriculture Meat Company (PAMC) conference and expo will be held here from January 16-17.
Experts and exporters belonging to the Halal meat industry of 15 countries will participate in the expo. The purpose of organising the conference by Punjab Agriculture Meat Company, Livestock and Dairy development and Punjab & Halal Research Council is to introduce Pakistani products at international level.
Delegates from Malaysia, China, Russia, America, South America and the UAE will also attend the expo.
PAMC Chief Executive Prof Dr Hamid Jalil told APP on Sunday that Pakistan had huge potential of producing halal meat and by-products.
“PAMC has Global GAP certification of livestock farms. International slaughterhouses have been set up in Lahore and now we are in search of international market,” he added. He said the conference would help introduce Pakistani products at international level and further strengthen the meat sector on commercial basis.
