Islamabad police arrest 3 drug peddlers

ISLAMABAD -Police have rounded up three notorious drug peddlers from the capital, informed a police spokesman on Saturday.
The sources informed that, while a case has been registered against the bootleggers identified as Malik Qadoos, his son Malik Abbas and their driver Muhammad Navid, the police have also seized 90 bottles of imported liquor from their possession including a car being used to supply the alcohol. According to him, a team of PS Margalla, under the supervision of SP Saddar Zone, Tassawar Iqbal, carried out raids in various areas of the capital and arrested the accused on the spot. The bootleggers are habitual and have been jailed various times in the past, he said. Meanwhile, Inspector General of Police Muhammad Ahsan Younas appreciated the efforts of SP Tassawar Iqbal and SHO PS Margalla for netting the notorious drug dealers. IGP, in a statement, said the police are committed to rooting out the menace of drugs from Islamabad adding that no one would be allowed to play havoc with the lives of youngsters.
