LAHORE - Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed says Pakistan and Qatar has immense scope for trade and called for enhancing business ties between the two countries.
He was talking to Qatari Prime Minister Khalid bin Khalifa in Doha on Monday. They also exchanges views about Pak-Qatar bilateral relations and trade promotion including increase in Pakistani manpower and internal security issues in Qatar.
Talking about regional situation, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said sustainable peace in Afghanistan is a long-standing common objective of Pakistan and Qatar and Islamabad appreciates Doha's exemplary role in this regard. He also handed over a special letter from Prime Minister Imran Khan to Khalid bin Khalifa, carrying a goodwill message to the people of both countries.
Sheikh Rashid also attended the Milipol Qatar International Exhibition and visited the Pakistani stall and inspected the products. He will return to Islamabad on Wednesday.
