Fawad Chaudhary asks Nawaz Sharif to return back

Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry, on Tuesday, has asked PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif to return back to the country.

In his recent statement, the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) said that those who do not have any stakes in the system are urging others to resign from assemblies. He said that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will not resign from the assemblies and if it does so then we will see.

Fawad Chaudhry said that the head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman is asking PDM parties to resign but he has no stakes.

The Federal Minister said it was not possible for the controversial Election Commission to function. If the Election Commission does not resign, the government will go to court for contempt proceedings.

He went on to say that it is the responsibility of the ECP to hold fair elections but there is consensus between the members of the Senate in which circumstances for the Election Commission to hold fair and transparent polls seem evidently unfavourable.
