ISLAMABAD- Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif spoke to Mr. Narendra Modi today afternoon and offered his congratulations and good wishes on the Bhartaya Janata Party's impressive victory in the just concluded general elections in India.
PM talking to Modi via telephone, invited him to Pakistan and said that Pakistan always intended to foster amicable relations with its neighboring country.

This was the first-ever contact between PM Sharif and Modi , the soon-to-be Indian Prime Minister. "Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also wished that BJP's victory would promote peace and stability to the region," Advisor to the PM, Sartaj Aziz said.
