Taliban ready for talks with govt: TTP

Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan spokesman Maulvi Omar has said that Taliban are ready for talks by laying down their arms if government holds ceasefire. In an interview with a British radio, TTP spokesman said that Taliban were ready to drive out the foreigners from tribal areas, adding they would also cooperate with government in stopping intrusion into Afghanistan from Pakistan's tribal areas. "We are ready for talks if government stops using force against us, he said, adding Taliban are wise enough to realize the existence and survival of the country." To a question, Omar quoted Pakistan's leadership as saying that they were being pressurized by external powers.
