ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Wednesday said that people had rejected the civil disobedience call announced by PTI by paying their taxes, as tax collection has registered 13.2pc growth in first quarter (July-September) of the ongoing fiscal year 2014-15.
The FBR has collected Rs 543 billion during July-September of the fiscal 2014-15 as against Rs 480 billion of the corresponding period of the previous year, said Finance Minister in a press statement. He further said that economic indicators have performed well due to the steps taken by the PML-N govt. Ishaq Dar further said that international financial institutions, international economic experts and foreign investors had admired the economic achievements of the incumbent govt. –Staff Reporter
Imran Khan Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaaf (PTI) in mid-August this year had announced the civil disobedience call by asking the people not to pay taxes and utility bills. However, people had rejected Imran Khan’s call, as they paid their taxes and bills.
