Nasim, Farman pass AKF referee course

LAHORE – Nasim Qureshi and Farman Ahmed passed the Asian Karate Federation (AKF) referees’ course while Khalid Noor, Uzma Asghar and Saadi Abbas passed the coaches’ course conducted at Sharjah. Nasim and Farman from Pakistan passed the theory and practical examination and were declared AKF qualified referees while Khalid, Uzma and Saadi passed the examination to be AKF qualified coaches. It is requirement of the AKF that only qualified coaches can act as officials in the championships. This is for the first time that three Pakistani coaches participated in the AKF coaches’ course and were declared qualified coaches. “Now our referees will be part of referee panel in international karate tournaments and our qualified coaches will further train our coaches in Pakistan,” PKF official said.
