Rain exposes district admin, HMC performance in Hyderabad: PTI leader

HYDERABAD   -  The district president Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Hyderabad Imran Qureshi on Wednesday said light rains had exposed claims of the district administration, municipal corporation Hyderabad and Qasimabad municipal committee as rainy water was accumulated in city’s residential areas and Katchi abadies. In a statement, PTI leader said despite ruling Sindh for 13 years, PPP led provincial government failed to plan a rain emergency strategy.

Qureshi said the situation in Hyderabad suggested that there was no administration in the city as all civic bodies, despite having sufficient budget, failed to provide relief to the citizens of the second largest city of Sindh.

He said that accumulation of rain water in different city areas indicated as if there was no administration to solve the problems of the people.

He demanded that immediate steps should be taken for draining out rain water from residential areas so that people could be saved from diseases being spread from stagnant rainy water.
