Islamabad: Chairman Jammu and Kashmir People’s Freedom League, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, has strongly denounced house-arrest and registering of FIR by Police in Srinagar against the APHC Chairman Syed Ali Gilani and Masarrat Alam Butt. It is being done to quell the ongoing movement of liberation and call for right of self-determination as stressed in the UNCIP resolutions.

He said that on one hand Indian troops kill civilians at will and arrest them under the notorious laws PSA and AFSPA, while on the other hand they raise hue and cry over public protests and slogans of plebiscite.

He said the best way for India to relieve itself of this situation was, to grant the right to plebiscite to the Kashmiris, to see what people wanted and how they aspire to be in future.
