Attock police arrest 4 members of dacoits gang

Attock- DPO Attock Rana Shoaib Mahmood while addressing a press conference informed that Police have arrested four dacoits of Aamra Gang involved in snatching cash at gunpoint. On the occasion, DSP Muhammad Iqbal, PRO Tahir Iqbal and other officers were also present. DPO While giving details said that almost a month ago Malik Imran resident of Faqeerabad told police that he was working as a manager at a private firm. He was carrying cash when three dacoits intercepted and snatched more than Rs 1.2 million from him and escaped. DPO said that a team headed by DSP Hazro Muhammad Iqbal was constituted which arrested the culprits and recovered the amount. Those arrested include Aamir Shehzad alias Aamra, Malik Qamar Hayat Awan and Waqas Ahmad all resident of Faqeerabad Attock and Muhammad Idrees resident of Chicha Watni. DPO said the gang during the investigation confessed their crimes. DPO said, police recovered Rs 1.31 million and three pistols from their possession and said that this gang was wanted by police in five cases registered against them at police station Hazro. DPO lauded the professionalism of DSP Muhammad Iqbal and his team.
Meanwhile, Attock police arrested six gamblers from village Mirza and recovered Rs 41,820 bet money from them while two gamblers escaped from the scene.
