Fawad holds SC responsible for political chaos

ISLAMABAD   -   Former Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry has said that the Supreme Court was responsible for the current situation as it didn’t give a timely decision on the future of the turncoats. He said the ongoing political turmoil in the country is linked to the Supreme Court’s “failure” to decide the case regarding the fate of rebel lawmakers. He took to twitter to state, “Had the Article 63-A of the constitution been implemented in true letter and spirit, the tension would have been not of that scale”. The tweet came in the wake of what the Punjab Assembly witnessed on Saturday. He said the court heard the petition on the ruling of the deputy speaker on urgent basis but the case against the turncoats under Article 63-A of the constitution was taken lightly. In another tweet, Fawad condemned the manhandling of Ch Parvez Elahi at the hands of “goons of the imported govt” and added the culprits would be made accountable for their deeds as violence broke out in the Punjab Assembly between opposition and the treasury benches on Saturday. Earlier in the day, PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry warned that the country was heading towards civil unrest. “We are inches away from full fledged civil unrest, Imran Khan has exercised utmost restraint very soon even he won’t be able to stop this very angry mob and we will see the country plunging into a civil unrest,” said Fawad while referring to the situation in the Punjab Assembly. He further said that the “imported leaders” will not be able to leave the country.
