Steps afoot to bring Quetta at par with other developed cities: CM aide

QUETTA   -   Bilal Khan Kakar, Coordinator to Chief Minister for Public Affairs has said that the incumbent provincial government had attached priority to restoring the traditional beauty of Quetta city. In a statement issued on Monday, Kakar said Jam Kamal Khan, Chief Minister Balochistan had paid complete attention to the whole province and particularly to Quetta city, adding that the incumbent provincial government under the leadership of Chief Minister Balochistan was taking practical steps to bring Quetta city at par with other developed cities of the world. He said development schemes initiated by the government for the good of people could be seen on ground. He added that the provincial government was taking concrete steps to provide basic amenities of life to the people without any discrimination. He said that traffic jam in Quetta city had become a routine issue, hence, he added, to cope up with the traffic problems, the government was working on widening different roads of Quetta city. 

 He said that some development projects initiated for restoring the traditional beauty of Quetta city were near to its completion while others executed for providing facilities to the people had been completed. He said that new development projects, to be executed in near future, would alter the map of Quetta city.
