Bank robbed of Rs6.6m  in Haripur 

Haripur   -   A bank was robbed of Rs6.6 million cash in Sera-e-Saleh area of Haripur district on Friday, police said. 

According to a report filed by the local police, several gunmen, first overpowered a security guard of the bank on GT Road and then collected cash from the counter, and fled the venue at around 12pm. 

The robbers also took with them the footage of the CCTV cameras installed in the bank branch, with an aim to avoid identification and arrest. 

The police said they had started investigation into the case.
