Police arrest 12 criminals in Islamabad

Islamabad - Police have arrested 12 criminals including four members of a gang involved in stealing motorcycles and recovered seven stolen motorcycles worth hundreds of thousands of rupees, fake documents, huge cache of narcotics as well as weapons from their possession, a police spokesman said on Wednesday. SSP (Operations) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanweer had assigned a task to Zonal SPs to accelerate efforts against bike-lifters.
Following his directions, SP (Rural Zone), Nosherwan constituted a special team under supervision of DSP Abid Ikram including SHO Koral police station Shokat Abbasi, ASI Jaffar Ali and others.
This team apprehended four members of the bike-lifter gang later identified as Zahid, Adnan, Nabeel, and Asad and recovered seven stolen motorbikes and bogus document from their possession. During the preliminary investigation, they confessed having lifted these motorcycles from various areas of Koral police station and further investigation is underway from him.
Furthermore SP (Saddar Zone) Farooq Amjad Butter constituted a special police team under the supervision of DSP Sajjad Bukhari including SHO Golra Asim Ghafar along with other officials which apprehended three drug peddlers including two ladies and later identified as Waqar Ahmed, Kalsoom Bibi and Amna Bibi and recovered 12.610 kilogram hashish from their possession. While Bhara Kahu police arrested accused Nashat and recovered 215 gram hashish from him.
 Industrial Area police arrested accused Abid and recovered 110 gram hashish from him. Sabzi Mandi police arrested Waheer Ullah and recovered one 30-bore pistol from him.  Khanna police arrested accused Ghulam Mustafa and recovered one 30-bore pistol from him. Shams Colony police arrested Muhammad Haris and recovered one 30-bore pistol from him.  Cases have been registered against the nabbed person and further investigation is underway from him.
