Excise police seize 266kg hashish in Peshawar

peshawar   -   Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Director General (DG), Mahmood Aslam has said that eradication of drugs from the province is our top priority.


He said that contraband drugs are a menace and the excise department officials are always ready to eradicate this menace from the society.


He informed that  the Excise Office District Kohat and the Narcotics Control Wing Special Squad have foiled an attempt to smuggle large quantities of drugs, and recovered 266 kg of hashish   from the cache made in the floor of an abandoned truck.


According to details, personnel of   Narcotics Control Wing     found an abandoned  truck,  parked on the roadside and no one was around the vehicle. During the search of the truck,  266 kg of hashish  was found in a hidden compartment of the truck.   A case has been registered   at Excise police station Peshawar region for further investigation.
