Contrary to the Election 2008, the fresh polls have brought big success to the PML-N in Multan as it succeeded to win four out of six national assembly and 11 out of 13 provincial assembly seats of the district. At a time when the total vote of PPPP has dipped by 40 per cent in Multan, the vote bank of PML-N has gone up by 100 per cent.

An analysis of results of four urban national assembly and nine provincial assembly seats reveals that the PML-N got more than double votes. The total of four PML-N candidates from NA-148, 149, 150 and 151 in last election stood at 156149 while its candidates got 331467 votes in recent election.
