Shehbaz Sharif to move LHC against travel ban

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president and opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) Shehbaz Sharif on Monday has decided to move Lahore High Court (LHC) against government’s move of not allowing him to go abroad.

According to party sources, Shehbaz Sharif’s counsel has prepared a contempt of court petition against the federation and demanded the court to take action in this regard.

On the other hand, PML-N has decided to record protest in NA session today against not permitting Shehbaz Sharif to travel abroad.

The federal government is also expected to file a plea in Supreme Court (SC) challenging Lahore High Court’s (LHC) decision of excluding the name of PML-N president from the blacklist.

It is to be mentioned here that LHC had allowed Shehbaz Sharif to go abroad. Justice Ali Baqir Najfi announced the ruling on the former Punjab chief minister’s petition seeking exclusion of his name from the blacklist.
