MARDAN -  Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid on Sunday said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan won’t be seen anywhere on October 30.

He said that PML-N did not believe in the politics of aggression.

Addressing a public meeting at Mardan, he said that PML-N still has the power to dislodge PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and that the provincial government was on PML-N’s mercy. “If we wish, we can dislodge PTI government today and prove our numerical strength,” he added.

Pervaiz Rashid said Imran wants to stop prosperity and development of the country. He said that now Imran wants to block Islamabad on October 30 but he will not succeed in this regard.

He also said the PML-N would not let Imran Khan put hurdles in the journey of progress undertaken by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the country. "We will not let Imran Khan put hurdles in this journey of progress," he vowed.

The minister said those who were doing 'politics of agitation and assaults' were not compassionate about the people of Pakistan. And the people would give their decision by stamping the symbol of 'lion' in the next elections, he added.

He said the PML-N leaders shared sorrows and happiness of the people. "If anyone of you is in trouble, this pain is also felt by me and Nawaz Sharif," he told the gathering. "It cannot happen that the people of Pakistan are in pain and Nawaz Sharif remains unaware."

He said Nawaz Sharif served the people as prime minister three times and nobody could say that his politics was not about serving the people. "Nobody can say that Nawaz Sharif did not sacrifice his comforts for the sake of the people of Pakistan."

The minister said the PML-N did not think about attacking people's residences while leading a crowd. He said the PML-N did not do 'politics of attacks and assaults'. Its leaders were kept in jails but they did not think about attacking others.

Nawaz Sharif was kept in Attock jail and Landhi jail in Karachi while leaders like Sardar Mehtab Abbasi were also jailed for years, he added.

Pervaiz said the PML-N leadership did not attack others rather they waited for the time when the people would get a chance to vote for Nawaz Sharif. The party did not come into power at the force of 'dagger' but with the people's vote, he added.

The people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he said, decided that Imran Khan should get a chance to form government in the province. "You made PTI a majority party and we accepted the decision and let that party serve the people."

He said the condition of schools and hospitals in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was not satisfactory. He said all the way from Attock bridge to Mardan, he could not see a single tree planted by Imran Khan.

"Imran did not plant any tree while billions of rupees were dished out on that count."He said Imran Khan would be held accountable in the elections of 2018.

The minister said Imran returned unsuccessful from Raiwind and he would again fail on October 30.

Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal said that 10,000 mega watts electricity will be included in the system in 2018.

He added that people rejected Imran Khan in Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan and other by-elections and in the upcoming election people will also reject Imran due to his destruction agenda. “Imran Khan will remain on roads and we will be in power,” he added.

Adviser to Prime Minister Amir Muqam has claimed that PTI Chairman Imran Khan wants to become prime minister through street protests, however, the masses would reject this unconstitutional move with the power of vote in 2018 elections.

“Imran wants to become prime minister through illegal way which would never materializeas the people of the country have rejected him in Kashmir and other by-elections,” he said this while addressing a huge gathering arranged at Takhatbhai where MPA Jamshed Khan Mohmand of PTI government’s ally along with a large number of his supporters announced to join PML-N.

Federal Minister for Information Parveez Rashid, Federal Minister of Planning, National Reforms and Development Ahsan Iqbal, Pir Sabir Shah and others also addressed the public meeting. 

Muqam said that Imran Khan has no confidence on the national institutions. He desired that all institution declare his stand point on national issues correct which is not difficult.

He also strongly criticized Imran Khan’s accountability slogan saying his party is governing the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, however, accountability is not visible there.

He claimed that Imran has made accountability a joke and used this slogan for his political aim.

On this occasion, Muqam announced Sui Gas project for Shergarh, 132 KVA grid station for Takhtbhai, Sui Northern Gas Pipeline regional office at Mardan, Pesco Division office at Takhatbhai and also announced opening of utility stores at different parts of Takhatbhai.
