CPO orders inquiry into Murree incident

Rawalpindi-A day after a woman allegedly fought with Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Murree, City Police Officer (CPO) Muhammad Ahsan Younas ordered an SP-level inquiry into the matter.
Police spokesman SI Sajjad Ul Hussan, in a press release issued here, said the CPO came to know of the incident after a video showing a woman misbehaving with a police officer in Murree. The SP probing the case will file his report within three days, he said. If anybody is found guilty, strict action will be taken, he added.
Meanwhile, a large number of social media users are raising questions over the role of ASP Murree Circle Azhar Khan. A very few social media users are condemning the act of woman identified as Farzana Ijaz and urged the CPO to take action against her.
On the other hand, Farzana Ijaz, the woman seen in a video while interfering in police matters, damaging the chairs at a police post, released her video statement on social media. She claimed a powerful mafia had built infrastructure on her house forcefully which she got demolished. She added the grabbers belonged to ruling party against whom she also lodged a complaint with police. “I have been called by ASP after five days of filing complaint on which I was satisfied that this officer might take action against the accused,” she said in gloomy voice. She said ASP summoned more than 50 persons of the accused party while she and her husband were only to encounter them in investigation. She alleged ASP sent all the accused without hearing her version on which she got infuriated. She accused ASP of throwing her on floor by pushing her from arm.
CPO Muhammad Ahsan Younas, in a statement, said that the matter would be interrogated purely on merit and strict action would also be taken against the guilty.
He said SP Saddar Division Kamran Amir would hold inquiry into the matter.
