PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Health Shaukat Ali Yousafzai has said that health and education sectors have an important role in the stability of society and there will be no compromise on creation of healthy and educated environment.
A comprehensive policy has also been constituted to resolve the problems being faced by the public in health sector and the government has taken immediate action to provide free and quality medical facilities to the patients.
This he said while chairing a high level meeting of health department in Peshawar on Monday. Besides others, Secretary Health Department, Director General Health, representatives of Health Employees Coordination Council, office-bearers of paramedics, nurses and young directors associations attended the meeting. On the occasion, issues and problems faced by the health sector, including infrastructure, healthcare, service structure, transparency and implementation of rules and regulations were discussed in detail.
Chairman Health Employees Coordination Council introduced the council and briefed the participants on its objectives. He requested the provincial minister to provide them an opportunity to assist the health department. The minister welcomed this offer and assured that he would try his level best to assist the council in its every positive struggle.–Staff Reporter
