RAHIM YAR KHAN-Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif should step down because he and his family members have been named in Panama papers.

Talking to journalists on Friday, Shah said that if the premier steps down and comes back after his clearance, his image will improve. “By not appearing in the court of people, the prime minister is ruling the country by following the law of “Might is Right”.

He said, “At first Nawaz Sharif had admitted in his public address and on the floor of the parliament his involvement in Panama Leaks but later he denied the allegations. It shows that there is something wrong in the matter.” He said that Panama Leaks is a mega scandal and the Pakistan People’s Party will not remain silent on the issue.”

To a question, Khurshid Shah said that his party will present the case with the court of public in October. He said that for the elimination of terrorism, big claims were made and everyone knows who provided sheltered to the terrorists. Southern Punjab is the nursery of terrorism as these areas like Balochistan, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were deprived ones. However, the government has not taken steps for their development, Shah said. He further said that MQM London and MQM Karachi should separate their relationship.
