COVID-19 claims 8 lives with 82 new infections in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi-As many as 82 new patients of coronavirus were reported during the last 24 hours in the division, with 80 belonging to Rawalpindi and two from other districts while eight people had lost their battle of life. 
According to the daily situation report issued by the District Corona Management Center on Thursday, among the new cases, 25 belonged to Rawal Town, 25 from Potohar Town, 21 from Rawalpindi Cantt, four from Murree, two each from Gujar Khan and Taxila while one case was reported from Chakwal, Narowal and Kalar Syedan each.
“Presently 15 Coronavirus confirmed patients are admitted in Holy Family Hospital, 58 in Benazir Bhutto Hospital, 53 in Institute of Urology, 23 in Fauji Foundation Hospital, five in District Headquarter Hospital, four in Bilal hospital, two in Hearts International Hospital and one in Akhtar Memorial Trust Hospital.”   
The report updated that 15 patients were on ventilators in critical condition, 74 stable and 72 on oxygen support. Around 2,437,956 people including 41,783 health workers and 2,396,173 other citizens aged above 18 years got themselves jabbed so far against coronavirus while the positivity ratio during the past 24 hours was recorded at 7.2 per cent in the district, it added.
