Attock - The 8th Muharram’s procession of Alam-o-Zuljanah, under fool proof security cover provided by police and elite force, was taken out from Imambargah Punjtani Attock city on Tuesday with religious enthusiasm under auspices of Anjuman-e-Janisaran Hussain participated by a large number of mourners prominent among them were Provincial Minister Syed Yawar Abbas Bukhari, Syed Zulfi Bokhari, Focal Person PTI Attock Syed Khawar Abbas Bukhari, Former MPA Syed Ejaz Bukhari, Arif Wahidi and Khadim Hussain Naqvi. The Azadars were reciting Nohas in groups performing “Zanjeerzani” and “Matum” by beating their chests. The procession offered Zuhrain prayer at Fowara Chowk.
 Addressing the mourners, Molana Zafar Hussain Zafari said Karbala is a lesson-teaching incident of human history, which gives the message of upholding righteousness and truth to the mankind for their eternal success. Hazart Imam Hussain (AS) is not only a great hero of our Islamic history but is the symbol of a unique philosophy and way of life which draws a line of demarcation between noble and evil forces. Similarly, this incident foiled the nefarious designs of devilish forces of Yazidiat against the righteousness of Hussainiat, he maintained. However, it is need of the hour, that we realize our responsibilities as a nation and foil the designs of anti-Islamic forces by promoting unity and religious harmony among our ranks, he urged.
Later, the procession after passing through its traditional routes ended peacefully at Imambargah Hussania Attock Cantonment in the evening. The law enforcement agencies had made unprecedented security arrangements for the peaceful holding of procession. All roads leading to the venue of the procession were heavily guarded and were barbed with iron wire and manned by elite force and police to handle any untoward situation. The personnel of intelligence agencies also remained busy in identification of outlaws and troublemakers. While, District Police Officer Attock, Assistant Commisioner Attock, SDPO Sadar Circle, Chief Security Officer, SHO City Police Station and other district administration officials visited Imambargahs and procession route to monitor security arrangements. Under strict security, sabeels of water and milk were also setup by the procession organizers with the collaboration of tehsil municipal administration at different points to facilitate the mourners, while a special mobile medical team of DHQ Hospital Attock, and Rescue 1122 also provided medical treatment to the mourners on the spot. Meanwhile, Attock Saddar police have arrested an accused Waseem Zeb r/o village Mari Kanjoor who allegedly tried to rape a five-year-old girl.
