LAHORE - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif will lay the foundation stone of Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus service on February 28.
Metro Bus Authority Chairman Khawaja Ahmad Hassan said this while addressing a function held in connection with completion of one year of Metro Bus Service.
He said that at about four crore forty four lakh people benefited from metro bus service Lahore during one year whereas one lakh fifty thousand people were benefitting from cheap, comfortable and speedy travelling daily.
He said that the cooperation of Turk brethren had played a prominent role in success of metro bus service.
He said that Lahore Metro Bus Project was a living proof of Pak-Turk friendship and this friendship will further strengthen in future.
He said that metro bus facility would be expanded to other big cities of the country under a phased programme.
