Attorney General refuses to attend Judicial Commission meeting

Irfan Qadir, Attorney General of Pakistan, on Friday refused to attend the meeting of the Judicial Commission scheduled for Saturday
Talking to media persons here in Islamabad, Irfan Qadir said that Judicial Commission is not complete without inclusion of a member from the Bar Council.
He said he has written a letter to Dr Faqir Hussain, secretary of the commission, in which he has excused from attending the Saturdaymeeting of the commission. “It is meaningless to attend the meeting of an incomplete commission,” he asserted.
It may be mentioned here that the Bar Council has refused to nominate its member on the commission until its recommendations are approved. The council has demanded that every member should have the right to nominate a judge.
