Former CM and Governor Sindh Mumtaz Bhutto has passed away in Karachi. 

Mumtaz Bhutto was cousin and amongst the close ones of PPP founder Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto . The deceased was amongst the prominent political figures of Sindh.

Mumtaz Bhutto served as the Governor and CM of Sindh in 1970. He also served as the Federal Minister for Railway Communications and Shipping Corporation. 

He later became the first convener of the Sindhi Baloch Pushtoon Front (SBPF) in 1985. 
After that, he formed his own party, named as the Sindh National Front.

In 2011, Mumtaz Bhutto merged his party with the PMLN. However, in 2016, he left the Nawaz League as well. 

Later in 2017, Mumtaz Bhutto joined PTI.
