ATC defers BB murder, Mumbai attack cases

RAWALPINDI - Proceedings in two important cases could not take place on Saturday in Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi Number 1 as prosecutors were not available.
The two prosecutors of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Chaudhry Zulfiqar and Chaudhry Azhar are presently in India as part of Judicial Commission (JC) who went to get record the statements of people linked with Mumbai attack.
ATC No 1 Judge Shahid Raffique put off the hearing in tAnti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Rawalpindi Number 1 adjourned the hearings in former premier Benazir Bhutto (BB) murder case and Mumbai attack case till March 24, 2012 without further proceeding.
Meanwhile, Special Judge Central (SJC) Mian Khalid Bashir also deferred the proceeding in Haj corruption case till April 5, 2012 owing to non-availability of FIA prosecutor, who at present is in India as part of JC.
