PML-N opposes Nato supply resumption


LAHORE –  The PML-N will not allow the government to bypass the National Assembly resolution which it passed to strike new rules of strategic engagement with the US while laying down strict conditions for the restoration of Nato supply.
Addressing a press conference on Thursday, PML-N Central Media Coordinator Muhammad Mehdi that his party would resist tooth and nail if the federal govet went ahead with the decision of restoring the Nato supplies without obliging the US to stop drone attacks, tender apology and supply only that of non-lethal articles. He said the government had passed strong indications that it was going to resume the Nato suppy on the US terms.
Mehdi also took exception to PM Gilani statement that people fed up with laodshedding could leave the country and said such a statement could also be made by a convicted PM only.
