Opposition has decided to challenge the 33 newly approved electoral reforms, and the usage of EVMs in the upcoming elections in court. 

As per sources, the Opposition has submitted a no-trust motion against NA Speaker Asad Qaiser as well, which has been sent to the parties' steering committee. 

The sources further reveal that the steering committee won't only take the decision pertaining to the np-trust motion against Asad Qaiser but it will also consider replacing Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani with a nominee from the Opposition. 

Opposition leader Ahsan Iqbal stated that the way NA speaker Asad Qaiser has bulldozed the Parliament joint session, it has led us lose faith in his capabilities, which is the reason why we have so many reservations when it comes to sitting with him in future sessions. He added that a no-trust motion against him is underway. 

As per the sources, the proposal of submitting a no-trust motion against Asad Qaiser has been suggested by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Shehbaz Sharif also supported his proposal. 

However, it is pertinent to note that the final decision regarding the no-trust motion would be taken after all members of the Opposition agree, as the representatives of the Opposition in the National Assembly are 156, and a total of 172 members are required to dismiss the Speaker. The additional members must be taken from the Government who are siding with the ruling PTI government. 

The Opposition is determined to contact the members of PML-Q and MQM, in a few days, to support their decision of moving a no-trust motion against the Speaker. 

On the other hand, Minister of State Farrukh Habib has stated that the Opposition is free to start the movement of no-trust motion against the Speaker, however they would be defeated in this movement as well, the way they got defeated during the joint session pertaining to the approval of EVMs and electoral reforms.
