KARACHI-A five-month-old baby girl was kidnapped from the premises of a government-run hospital in Orangi Town locality on Monday.

A five-month-old Sadia was kidnapped by a veiled woman inside the Qatar Hospital while her mother took her away at a hospital from their home in Orangi Town for a routine check-up.

“I was at the doctor’s room while handing my baby to my mother who was staying outside a doctor’s room. A veiled woman came to my mother and took a baby saying that the doctor has called her inside a room and then she (veiled woman) took her away,” kidnapped baby’s mother – Humaira told the police in her statement.

Police officials said that a kidnapping case has been registered against an unidentified woman for kidnapping a baby while further investigation was underway.
