On Monday, Lieutenant General Muhammad Aamer took charge as the new Commander of the Gujranwala Corps following a reshuffle announced on October 06, a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

According to the ISPR, the development took place during a change of command ceremony held at the Gujranwala Cantonment,

During the ceremony, Lieutenant General Syed Asim Munir handed over command of Gujranwala Corps to Lieutenant General Muhammad Aamer.
