PM condemns blast in Jalalabad

ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has strongly condemned the bomb blast in Jalalabad which resulted in dozens of casualties. Extending condolences on this tragic incident, he said terrorism is a common enemy of both the countries which are now taking joint steps to eradicate this menace.
The Prime Minister said that such acts of violence would not weaken our resolve to take action against them till the last of terrorists and their supporters are eliminated. “Terrorism would soon be wiped out of this region, ushering in an era of peace, stability and prosperity to the immense benefit of the people living here,” he said.  The Prime Minister said Pakistan targeted these terrorists in their hideouts and dismantled their networks with effective strategy. Pakistan would be happy to provide any assistance to Afghanistan to successfully fight terrorism, he added.
Soon after the news of bomb attack in Jalalabad appeared in media Saturday morning, Foreign Office came up with strong condemnation against the attack wherein dozens of casualties were reported.
“Such cowardly and indiscriminate attacks against civilians have no justification under any circumstances. We send our deepest sympathies and condolences to the families of the victims and pray for speedy recovery of the injured,” the statement issued by the Foreign Office concluded.
