Rawalpindi - Two persons were killed and another injured in firing and road traffic accident in different areas of the district, informed sources on Monday.
Police have registered cases and began investigation, they said.
According to sources, a man was shot dead by unknown killers while he was sleeping in courtyard of his house, located at Machia Village of Jatli.
The deceased has been identified as Raja Mehmood (60), whose body was moved to hospital for autopsy. Jatli police have registered a case against unknown killers and began investigation, they said.
In yet another incident, a 35 years old man namely Zameer Abbas was allegedly shot and injured by his brother during a brawl in their house located at Banni Stop on Chakri Road. Rescue 1122 moved the injured to DHQ hospital for medical treatment while Saddar Bairooni police have registered an attempted murder case against accused and began probe. A speeding tractor trolley had crushed to death a young motorcyclist at Adiala Road. Rescue 1122 shifted the body to DHQ for autopsy.
According to sources, the young man was going Saddar on a motorcycle when a speeding tractor trolley moving on wrong side hit him. Resultantly, the young man suffered fatal head injuries and died on the spot. Tractor driver managed to escape from the scene while Saddar Bairooni police had registered a case and started investigation.
