PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court has suspended death sentence awarded by the military court to three persons and sought a reply from the Federal Government.

The High Court bench consisted of Justice Yahya Afridi and Justice Waqar Ahmed Seth. 

The military court had awarded death sentence to accused Mohammad Tayyab, Mohammad Ayaz and Mohammad Jalal on terrorism charges and the sentence was confirmed by the Army Chief.

During the hearing the court was told that a case in this connection was under hearing in the Supreme Court. The court on this suspended the death sentence and sought a reply from the federal government.
