Master Plan for Faisalabad unveiled

FAISALABAD - The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Director-General Dr Faisal Azim on Thursday unveiled a Faisalabad Master Plan for development of the city keeping in view future requirements of the industrial-cum-business hub of the country.

He was addressing the members of All Pakistan Textile Processing Mills Association (APTPMA) at its office on Kashmir Road. WASA Vice Chairman Sh Shahid Javed, other office bearers Rehan Ashraf, Muhammad Amjad, Mian Aftab Ahmad, Ahmed Jamal, Muhammad Haroon, Basharat Ali, Umer Afzal, Muhammad Yasin, Akram Sh, Asif Sh, Muhammad Shahzad, Ch Habib Gujjar, Bao Abdul Sattar, Safeer Shahzad , APTPMA members were also present on the occasion. FDA Director General said that the Master Plan would be remarkable milestone for the organised and advanced development of industrial, agricultural and Socio-economic sectors and concrete steps were being taken by FDA in this regard.

He hoped that the rapid development would be emerged by implementing Faisalabad  Master Plan and the facilities of road network,  bridges, hospitals, educational institutions, community centres, parks would be managed as per the ratio of population quantum beside increasing the beauty of the city. He informed that the planning was being made to construct two thousand houses at the available land in FDA City under Nia Pakistan Housing Programme. He maintained that Traffic Engineering and Planning Agency (TEPA) had also been made active by FDA to resolve the issues of traffic flow and vehicles parking through scientific planning. He said that the traders and industrialists were backbone of the economy and playing pivotal role to increase the foreign exchange. He assured that the industrialists would be kept associated with process of development and their suggestions/proposals would be welcomed in this regard. He thanked the APTPMA for inviting which provided the opportunity to exchange the views relating to city issues and development. 

APTPMA office bearers and members welcomed FDA Director General Dr Faisal Azim and informed the details of welfare activities for the different segments of the society under APTPMA plate form. They informed that the APTPMA was taking participate in the city development projects side by side with government and district administration besides generating a lot of employment opportunities and earning foreign exchange through export of textile products after fulfilling the local requirements. Later, a souvenir was presented to FDA Director General by APTPMA.
