Education a must for peace, prosperity

Regional Police Officer Syed Dilawar Abbas has stressed a need for promoting tolerance, positive thinking and education so as to bring positive changes in the society.
Addressing a meeting at Noor Kot-Shakargarh after inaugurating a newly established building of Noor Kot police station, the RPO said that the illiteracy and ignorance were the biggest enemies of the society as they create hurdles in the smooth provision of justice.
Seeking cooperation of the media in promoting good policing, he narrated that  the mutual cooperation among public, business community and police could also be help full in bringing betterment in police performance through the promotion of good policing.
He added that people-friendly police were vital to remove all the social immoralities, saying that the police were the servant of the masses and it was the prime obligation of the police to protect the life, property and honour of the people.
GOVT STEP PRAISED: The establishment of the District Overseas Pakistanis Commission in all the districts of Punjab is a revolutionary step, which would be helpful to resolve the prolonged perturbing problems related to the overseas Pakistanis amicably.
MPA and Chairman District Overseas Pakistanis Commission Tariq Akhtar Subhani stated this while presiding over a meeting of the commission held at Sialkot DCO Office. He said that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was personally monitoring the problems being faced by the overseas Pakistanis and the Punjab government was giving priority to resolves these problems amicably, as the District Overseas Pakistanis Commission would also play its pivotal role in this regard.
He announced that the people bearing well reputation would be inducted in this commission .
, saying that the government would also form advisory councils in abroad , inducting the Pakistanis living in different countries of the world.
