Former Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) lawmaker Aamir Liaquat Hussain Monday made a formal announcement regarding his decision to join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Liaquat, who is a televangelist and TV host, formally joined the party in a press conference alongside Imran Khan and other PTI leaders.

"I had no more place. PTI was my last resort," said the outspoken TV host.

Veteran film and TV actor Abid Ali who was also present in the press conference announced his decision to join PTI.
