Pak affirms bilateral ties with UK: FM Qureshi

Foreign Minister (FM) Shah Mahmood Qureshi highlighted in a meeting with British High Commissioner of UK, that the country affirms bilateral ties with the United Kingdom by recognizing its vitality for the prosperity of mutual countries. (UK)

He said this in his meeting with British High Commissioner to Islamabad Dr Christian Turner who called on him in Islamabad.

Both sides agreed to further enhance relations in all areas of mutual interest. During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral and regional issues, including Afghan peace process in detail.

Alluding to the Indian atrocities in Illegally Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Foreign Minister urged the international community to play its due role for the resolution of Kashmir dispute as per the UN Security Council resolutions.

The British High Commissioner acknowledged the efforts of the country with reference to maintenance of peace and unity with Afghanistan.
