Several citizens deprived of cash, valuables

Islamabad-Robbers, dacoits and auto theft gangs deprived the citizens of gold, cash, mobile phones, electronic appliances, other valuables, cars and motorcycles worth millions of rupees from 14 different places of capital, informed police on Tuesday.
A woman was also allegedly murdered by her in-laws in Islamabad, police added.
According to a police spokesman, two armed dacoits intercepted a citizen namely Umer Ilyas on gunpoint at Golra Mor and snatched cash and mobile phone from him. The incident took place in jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Noon.
In the second incident of street crime, he said two armed dacoits snatched mobile and cash from the citizen namely Ubaid Ur Rehman at Dhoke Paracha, area of PS Tarnol. 
He said Haroon lodged complaint with PS Koral stating Hamza and two others burgled cash, mobile, weapon and LED and fled. Police held one robber, he added.
He informed that a gang of Hamza Ahmed looted cash, foreign currency and mobile phone. The robbery was committed in area of PS Lohibher. Another gang of robbers entered the house of Abdul Waheed in Ghauri Town Phase 4 and stole cash and gold and fled from the scene, he said.
He added robbers took away cash and prize bonds from house of Akbar Nawaz in limits of PS Banigala. Bashir Ahmed told PS Tarnol that Ghazanfar along with three accomplices stole cable from his shop, he said adding that police arrested three robbers and started investigation. 
Abdul Wahab told Karachi Company police that robbers took away cash and other valuables from his house. In Pindh Parian, robbers scaled the walls of house of Yasir in and made off with laptops, mobile phones, cash and other valuables, the police spokesman said. The houses of two other citizens namely Atif Ijaz and Hassan Masood were also burgled by gang of robbers in precinct of PS Ramna, he said.
Mazhar reported to police station Shehzad Town that a person named Sami Ullah stole his purse containing Rs5,000. Similarly, auto theft gangs pilfered a car and motorcycle from the area of police station Aabpara, he said.
The police spokesman said that Irfan lodged a complaint with PS Khanna accusing Babar Shehzad of killing his wife Mahnaz Bibi on behest of his mother Rahima Bibi and brother Mehmood. Police registered case against troika and started investigation, he said.
Meanwhile, Islamabad police have arrested five outlaws of two gangs and recovered stolen car, snatched cash, mobile phones and weapons from their procession. 
He said that the action has been taken as per special directives of SSP (Operations) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanweer as he directed all zonal officers to accelerate their efforts to curb the crime in the city.
Following these directions, SP (Saddar Zone) constituted special team under the supervision of DSP Khalid Mehmood Awan including SHO Ramna along with other officials who successfully arrested two wanted members of a dacoit gang identified as Ehsan Ullah and Zahir Shah and recovered snatched cash, mobile phone and weapons used in crime. During preliminary investigation, they confessed their involvement in several incidents of crime in various areas of city. Cases have been registered against them and further investigation is underway from them.
Furthermore, SP (City Zone) Omer Khan constituted a special team under supervision of ASP Haider Ali including SHO Bani Gala, ASI Anyat along with other officials who successfully arrested three members of car lifter gang. The gangsters have been identified as Abdul Malak, Saddam Hussain and Afzal Mehmood. Police also recovered stolen car, number plate, and bogus registration from their possession.  
 DIG (Operations) Afzaal Ahmed Kauser and SSP (Operations) Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanweer appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in their respective areas.
