Delimitation to be completed by second week of August: ECP

ISLAMABAD - The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Wednesday expressed satisfaction over the ongoing delimitation process across the country. The meeting regarding delimitation process across the country was presided over by Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja which was attended by commission officials and many others. According to ECP statement, the committees will present the preliminary delimitation of the national and provincial assemblies’ constituencies across the country by May 25. Subsequently, the ECP stated that the preliminary report of the delimitation will be published by May 29 to June 28. In its statement, the Commission announced that all appeals and objections towards the preliminary delimitation can be submitted to the Election Commission. The Election Commission will hear all appeals and objections from July 1-30. The delimitation process for all constituencies including the final publication is expected to be completed by second week of August. The ECP statement further stated that all work will be completed on merit and according to law.
