Tahirul Qadri pins hope on PM Imran for justice in model town incident

Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Chief Dr Tahirul Qadri has said that Model Town incident is the first test for Prime Minister Imran Khan and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government.

Tahirul Qadri, who reached Lahore from Istanbul on Wednesday, stated, "Model Town incident is the first test for Imran Khan and PTI's government."

“The culprits of the Model Town massacre are roaming free. The sons and daughters of this land were dragged and lynched and now it is PTI’s first test to guarantee justice to the victims and their families,” he said.

He also demanded to imprison the PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif and party leader Rana Sanaullah.

“Now that the government of murderers and thieves is replaced by those who believe in honesty and justice, I demand imprisonment of Shehbaz Sharif and Rana Sanaullah,” he said

Talking to media at the Allama Iqbal International Airport, Dr Qadri reiterated his demand for justice for the victims of Model Town tragedy. Qadri said that PTI Chief Imran Khan had supported them in raising the issue of Model Town tragedy. He hoped that Khan would keep his promise.

He also expressed his grief and sorrow over the demise of Begum Kulsoon Nawaz, the PAT chief also offered prayers for the departed soul.
