LAHORE-Producer, writer and director Ijaz Bajwas much hyped Punjabi flick 'Channa Sachi Muchi has been released across the country. It hit the cinemas as a big blockbuster and proved as a complete family entertainment with the hope that it would also proved as a milestone for the Pakistan film industry. Ijaz Bajwa while talking to The Nation said that he was thankful to God, as He has bestowed him with success and honour. He further told that he worked very hard on this film and he was confident about its success by the grace of Almighty Allah. He said, The success of 'Channa Sachi Muchi is a fresh air for the film industry. Like me, other directors should also work hard on their projects. We should show others our culture and traditions because the film is always a tool for any country. In the beginning it looks very hard but afterwards your hard work gives the way to others, he opined. Furthering his statement, he said, In film medium 'CSM was my first project as producer and director. I have made this film according to the international standards, adding that as you know we dont have international standard lab in Pakistan; so I had to leave for India for its processing. He said during the making of this flick, he faced huge losses. In the beginning its director was Khalilur Rehman Qamar and the hero was Shan, but there was no understanding between the two. Then I decided to take Moamar Rana as hero and took the director seat myself. Momi and other whole cast including Shafqat Cheema, Babar Ali, Naghma, Habib, Deeba, Asif Khan, Saima, Babbu Barral and Hina Shaheen cooperated with me very much and even they always remain with me in the promotion of this film, he added. About Hina Shaheen, he said that Hina performed even more than my expectations. I required heroine like Hina Shaheen so I took her in that role. It does not matter that the film is in Urdu language or in Punjabi. The main thing was that the film should be good, he added. While throwing light on its artistic aspects, he said, 'CSM is the first Pakistani film in which I have included an item song. This item song has been shot on Mehr Hassan and she performed very well. He said this is the first Pakistani film, which has digital intermediate treatment and postproduction from Adlab, Mumbai. At the end Bajwa said he would try his best to revive the cinema industry because Lollywood is not dead.
