Six special traffic police squads have been established to maintain the smooth flow of traffic across the city while extra police units have also been arranged for busy areas. Chief Traffic Officer (CTO), Dr. M. Akhtar Abbas said that during the holy month of Ramazan Mubarak 6 special traffic squads have been set up to facilitate the residents. He pointed out that in crowded areas the number of officials have been increased to control the easy flow of traffic peculiarly during Iftar time and shopping time. He directed to all DSPs of the city to patrol during Iftar time and to monitor all the arrangements. While in Commercial Market, Saddar and other crowded areas police squads have increased. He also requested to citizens to obey traffic rules to avoid any mishap or accident.
